Service Center Shipments End Year in Decline
ROLLING MEADOWS, Ill
The MSCI Metals activity report for the month of December, 2022 shows steel and aluminum activity decreased by single digits in both countries from year ago levels.
U.S. Service Center Activity
U.S. service center steel shipments in December, 2022 decreased by 2.6% from December, 2021. Shipments of aluminum products decreased by 9.5% from the same month in 2021.
Canadian Service Center Activity
Canadian service center steel shipments in December, 2022 decreased by 2.0% from December, 2021. Shipments of aluminum products decreased by 3.1% from the same month in 2021.
